How do I purchase a course?

When you are logged into dhi.org, you can select Online Courses from the Education & Credentialing tab at the top of the page. Select the type of training you wish to purchase in Online Courses (Self-Paced, or Online, Instructor Led). Select the course by name and then “Buy Course.” Once purchased, you should see the course in the DHI Threshold.

How do I login to DHI Threshold?

When you are logged into dhi.org, you can select Online Courses from the Education & Credentialing tab at the top of the page. Once the Online Courses page loads, you will see a button that says, “Login to DHI Threshold” This will take you to our Learning Platform. Your dhi.org account info is connected to your DHI Threshold account.

Where do I find the trainings I attended/registered for?

When you are logged into DHI Threshold, select Dashboard from the Menu list on the left-hand side of the page. Once you are in “My Dashboard” you will see all of your purchased / registered Items. You can also view your Transcripts, as well as any Notifications, or Certifications you may hold.

How much time do I have to complete an online course?

Generally, you will complete an online Instructor Led Course within the timeframe that it is offered. Online Self Paced courses should be completed within 12 months from purchase. Please reach out to education@dhi.org if you have trouble accessing a purchased course or need more time to complete the course.

What is the Refund Policy?

For the Online Self-Paced Courses, there are no refunds once the course has been purchased/begun. For Online Instructor Led Courses, cancellation must be requested 2 weeks prior to the start of the course. Once started, there will be no refund given, except in the case of medical emergency, which will suspend your registration until the next available scheduled occurrence of the course.

Do I receive Continuing Education Credit?

You will receive Continuing Education Credit for each hour of attendance. All Self-Paced, Online Instructor Led Courses, and Webinars will receive credit, with the exception of the COR101/COR102 bundle.

Where do I access the end of class exam?

You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your course. You can also access the course from the Dashboard. Once the Course is completed you will be able to access and complete the exam.

Can I re-take the end of class exam if I don’t pass?

Yes, you will be given one additional attempt if you do not pass the exam. Multiple failures may require you to complete the entire Course.

Where can I find my Course Completions?

Course Completions can be found in the Dashboard Area. Information can also be found in your profile on DHI.org.

How do I change my contact information?

Changes should be made in your profile on DHI.org

How will I receive my manuals and worksheets for an Online Instructor Led Course?

For the Online Instructor Led Courses, you will access all of the necessary forms and manuals, etc. within the course in DHI Threshold. These will be shared as needed throughout the course and will be available to download for use. In Person Courses may use a combination of printed documents AND digital materials accessible through DHI Threshold.

I believe I have taken the required courses to attain my DHT or DHC Certificate. What is the process to receive the certificate?

From your account page at www.mydhi.org, select Certifications from the top menu. Click on Browse Programs. (Door and Hardware Institute (DHI)). Scroll to the area titled Certificate Programs and click on the Certificate you have attained. Click on the button titled Submit Application/Renewal. This will begin the process of applying for the Certificate. Once you have confirmed your completion of the required courses with a signature, click on ‘Process Order’ and this will begin the review process. You will receive notification when your certificate has been granted.
